"As often as possible, I try to escape my hectic schedule by doing something simple like going to the movies. I've always been curious about the private movie screenings that take place all over the city, but thought that since they were 'private,' a person like me with no connections to the film industry would have little chance of receiving an invitation to such an event. This lack of 'knowing the right people' coupled with my own shortage of time rendered attending this activity a very slim possibility. So, I was extremely pleased to purchase tickets to a private screening (which otherwise would have been restricted to me) through iMar.com with surprising ease. Being in the music industry, I like to follow the critique of all art forms. I enjoyed my movie-going experience so much more because after viewing the film, I was given access to the behind-the-scenes perspective of one of the film's screenwriters, comments from two distinguished film critics, and general feedback from the audience -- which all proved to be very entertaining! The entire experience was fantastic and one I hope to repeat again."

"Totally fun! Got to see the movie in a great theater with a really nice audience. Then it was completely fascinating to hear the screenwriter tell us about all sorts of movie industry stuff -- working with Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, behind the scenes anecdotes, interesting facts about the process of making the film etc. Ideal for anyone interested in movies and how they're made. A very enjoyable night where I not only got to see a fun comedy before it was released to the public, but one where I learned something as well. Definitely going to do it again."

"Superb! A great experience...from purchasing the tickets at 7am on the same day and having the confirmation waiting for me when I arrived at work, to being greeted as a regular on arrival. Jeffrey and Roberta's banter made it an entertaining evening, and they managed to sneak in a review of what else was coming out soon that was worthwhile - great way to see all the good stuff without having to sift through the chaff yourself. Hearing about the genesis of the movie directly from the writer was a treat. Will definitely do this again! I look forward to meeting a few actors hopefully..."

"Highly recommend it! The film screening was great, as was hearing from the director afterwards. For anyone who loves film, learning about movies, and likes seeing sneak previews, this is for you!!!"

"A simply GREAT experience - exceeded every unspoken promise - finding out a superb "hidden" New York activity I would never know about - a memorable evening watching a pre-release movie and hearing Merchant-Ivory talk about it and their work - with all the time in the world to engage in discussion with an intelligent audience. This must be iMar at its best - what an amazing resource!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the screening of 'The Golden Bowl.' I was only able to stay for the first 10 min of the talk with James Ivory and Ismail Merchant. However, I have to mention that the whole event was very well organized and the exchange between the Directors and the audience was quite interesting and not just one sided."

"It was great to see this film in a preview, particularly with Mssrs. Merchant & Ivory there to talk about making the film and answer audience questions. I thought the film was slow in building and developing interest in the characters, but once the plot thickened, it was tremendously gripping. Overall, I would rate "The Golden Bowl" as excellent and the experience as outstanding."

"Being a film buff, I was definitely in my element. Being able to interact with Merchant & Ivory after the film was the highlight of a completely enjoyable evening. Can't wait to attend the next one!"

"Extraordinary! I highly recommend this experience. I don't usually travel to Manhattan for intertainment during the week, but this experience was well worth the trip."

"I enjoyed the the private screening of "Under The Sand" with film critic Jeffrey Lyons, Roberta Burrows and star Charlotte Rampling, immensely. I regret leaving before the Q&A session. I would have enjoyed asking the star Charlotte Rampling about how she prepared for such a maudlin and passionate role. Additionally, I was particularly impressed with the overall quality of the film. This is the second private screening I've attended and again, I highly recommend this activity. If you love good quality films and would like an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the star, director, and/or producer, you'll enjoy this experience."
